Copyright
- Artists Aware takes our own screenshots of publicly displayed information most of the time.
- If we use a screenshot or content that was not created by an admin of Artists Aware, we do so under Fair Use laws for educational purposes.
- All content on the Artists Aware website is available to anyone who would like to use it for educational purposes on their own websites or pages, to quote or to paraphrase, and to screenshot as deemed necessary. Screenshots uploaded into our page galleries can be viewed and downloaded at their original size and saved by anyone who has need or want of them.
- Artists Aware does ask that, if content from our website or Facebook page is used, that a credit is placed at least one time in the form of a link back to us at our website or Facebook page.
- While the screenshotting of our logo in partial or in full is allowed, Artists Aware does not consent to the use of that logo by anyone who is not Artists Aware to otherwise advertise or sell their own website, page, etc.
Privacy
- Artists Aware does not use the personally identifiable information of people who report on PSAs when requested, but we do use personally identifiable information on the people our PSAs are written on. PSA targets have no expectation of privacy.
- Artists Aware will not dox anyone nor provide any personally identifiable information that is not readily available to the public, even for those who have PSAs written on them. If, however, you are a target of one of our PSAs and have posted your personally identifiable information to the public and it can be found by the public, we reserve the right to reproduce that information in our PSA on you per the section on “Content on the Website and Facebook Page” section 2.2.
Content on the Website and Facebook Page
- PSAs
- PSAs are largely neutral entities simply there to convey information and content that is intended to be as factual and educational as possible with the currently available information.
- Updates to PSAs are written with bias by the admin team and often to prove a point, shown before the beginning of a PSA or as a post to our Facebook page. Updates should not be taken as fact unless supporting evidence like a screenshot is provided to support the statements made by the admin team.
- Updates to PSAs disappear as new updates become available. In some rare cases, an update may be made part of the PSA. In some rare cases, all updates remain intact and active on a PSA.
- Screenshots
- Screenshots are used as the bulk of the evidence that we provide in our PSAs and articles. We endeavor to use these screenshots responsibly and try to never misconstrue what the meaning of any one screenshot could be or was.
- We gather screenshots from PUBLIC pages and screenshot the content that we intend to use in our PSAs and articles. We also gather screenshots that were taken by other people from public webpages that offer their content freely to the public. If you posted your personally identifiable information to the public and it can be or has been screenshotted, we can and may use it in our PSAs or articles.
- The information in this website and our Facebook page is provided as is with no expressed warranty and is true to the best of our knowledge at the time it is posted.
- Screenshots taken should not be fed through AI to check for authenticity as they do not ever contain the necessary information for AI to properly process where they came from, the timeframe they were taken, and the particular version the site was using when the screenshot was taken. You will almost always get a false or wrong answer. Furthermore, many screenshots, per the requests of the victims of the PSA targets, are redacted meaning they have been edited to take out the victim’s personally identifiable information.
Contacting Artists Aware
- Use of your communicated content

- We may share the information in your electronic communication to anyone we deem fit, either privately or publicly, by quoting, paraphrasing or screenshotting the communication.
- Anonymity
- If requested by someone who is NOT the subject of a PSA, we will redact your name and identifiable information from appearing on our site to the best of our ability.
