If you want to try and find the artist of a posted artwork that is uncredited, there are a couple websites we recommend trying first. We typically use all of these and check the dates of uploads as a lot of art gets uploaded to many places. The earliest date of upload is what we go by when determining who the artist of a particular work is.
The websites you should be using are:
- Search Engine Reports: https://searchenginereports.net/reverse-image-search
- lets you search 6 reverse image engines at once and then click to retrieve results from the engine you want
- use Google, Bing, Yandex, Tineye, Sogou and Baidu
- search by link or image upload
- Tineye: https://tineye.com/
- click upload to upload an image
- otherwise paste the image link and click to search
- Google Images: https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en
- click the camera icon
- upload an image or use the link
- click “find image source” above the image
- Bing: https://www.bing.com/images/feed
