Mars, Chai, Katia, Miko, Kathy… the list of names goes on. For the purposes of this article, we will be using her current [as of 5/1/2024] main username, KatiaSunna. As of June 2024, we have learned that KatiaSunna is going to start going by the name StarlitProductions and has plans to make new socials all over with that name. As of 5/1/2025, KatiaSunna has a NEW name she is planning on going by which is AsteraLady (on deviantART) or Astera.Lady (Instagram and Threads).

In May and June 2025, KatiaSunna issued a DMCA Takedown against an artist for having a character similar to hers, claiming she had copyright protections for a brown haired girl in a red kimono. A very generic brown haired girl in a red kimono at that. Well, KatiaSunna lost that claim since you can’t copyright generic outfits and hair colors and styles. But losing her claim did not stop her. She started rage-submitting copyright claims against every piece of commissioned work that was done of that character, affecting a dozen or more artists on deviantART. This is an abuse of the copyright claim system and downright harassment. KatiaSunna KNOWS she doesn’t have copyright protections on this character yet she continues to submit bogus DMCA Takedowns. The screencaps of her character and one of both characters is below so you can see what we mean when we say you can’t copyright generic characters, outfits and hairstyles! We do want to clarify that her character is protected – someone can’t just go take her art of her character and post/do whatever they want with it. What we mean by copyright protections in this case is she can’t copyright the use of a red kimono and brown hair. And that is what she is filing DMCA Takedowns using which is WRONG and an abuse of the system.

She’s also now taken to BlueSky and Reddit to bash the creator of the other OC and rant about how her miko was copied/stolen. She’s posting callouts and naming names.

KatiaSunna also claims that she posted her first Miko Sakura art in 2009 (as noted in her screenshot above – she made that graphic btw, we only screencapped it as it was displayed on her deviantART) HOWEVER, she JUST POSTED (today’s date is 6-10-2025 for reference) on deviantART that her first Miko Sakura artwork is from 2011. The only thing consistent with KatiaSunna is that she will lie, cheat, steal and play victim in every scenario every time. Here’s the screencap taken from her deviantART of her OWN WORDS AND ADMISSION that her earliest Miko art is from 2011, NOT 2009. The girl can’t even keep her own lies straight. Who wants to place bets that her having art of her character in 2011 is also a bold faced lie?? Because, knowing KatiaSunna, you’d probably win that bet!

Just to be clear, there are a lot of differences between KatiaSunna’s tokyo musketeer OC and the shrine maiden, Aine, by the other artist… This artists lists them out eloquently tho they do look more similar now in 2025 because Katia’s OC went thru some updates to look more like Aine, the other artists OC…

Continuing the shrine maiden drama going into June 2025 where Katia is repetitively submitting DMCA Takedowns against the character Aine, here follows a list of SOME of the designs and such KatiaSunna has stolen or directly copied from over the years (original content first and KatiaSunna’s stolen/copied content second). These are not coincidence but a pattern of behavior by KatiaSunna who, when one of her own characters ends up looking like a character by someone else, she goes on the attack and plays the victim… For this next part, you will need to know and understand that SailorSunGoddess is KatiaSunna, just an old username. You also need to understand that when KatiaSunna was confronted about each of these, she blocked people, harassed people, played the victim… but under no circumstances did she ever change her copycat OC…

Still with us? We’re still on her May and June 2025 temper tantrum that there is a character out there that looks like her tokyo musketeer, Miko Sakura. When she first noticed (in 2013), she not only drew the character for the artist who created Aine, but she also joined the group and made her own shrine maiden to be included in a group forming around the shrine maiden that looked like her OC. She also commented on another artist’s fanart of that character (Aine) saying, “Amazing~!!!!” on Facebook.

This is just SOME of the commentary on deviantART over this drama of hers about an OC looking like hers under a callout journal she made on the subject. She is incorrigible and even tho most commentators agree this is coincidence and not malicious, she does not back down, and does play victim multiple times and does a whole “why me” kind of bs… Also included is her poll about how terrible this whole situation was for her. Self-pity at its finest.

After she didn’t get the kind of attention she wanted by posting a callout journal on deviantART about her “copied OC,” KatiaSunna decides to quit. I mean she clearly never quit – that was an empty threat (aka a lie). She’s been drawing her Miko for years and even made her a whole team like the artist who made the shrine maiden did (note KatiaSunna’s team is made by herself whereas the other artist had friends who made their own shrine maidens as part of a group collaboration together which created Aine’s team). This last screencap concludes our expose on KatiaSunna’s years of tracing and complete May/June 2025 meltdown and abuse of the legal system put in place to help artists.

KatiaSunna is a known art thief. She takes designs from people and she traces. She claims she only references, but it appears more likely to be tracing. She also calls other people out for tracing as tho she is superior even tho she also traces. She also admits to tracing in a journal she wrote calling someone else out for tracing.

And don’t be fooled. Katia is STILL TRACING. Even tho her deviantART profile states she used to trace but has stopped, she hasn’t. We have the trace directly above straight from 2022 for starters. Here’s her lie on her profile where she claims she isn’t tracing anymore…

KatiaSunna is STILL STEALING! As of April 28, 2025, she has stolen a character from her stalking victim and then copied their victims artwork of THAT CHARACTER, and then KatiaSunna put that copied image behind a $500 PAYWALL – lol it’s so absurd I can’t even make this up XD Look for yourself.

We have first the screencap of the character bought on Toyhouse by a user NOT KatiaSunna (Katia is IP banned from Toyhouse). Then the character goes missing from Toyhouse. This character was made by KatiaSunna’s stalking victim in 2017 and put up for adoption, so Katia followed the character, even after a CEASE AND DESIST, and then found the person who bought it and bought it from them knowing FULL WELL that their stalking victim would not have sold her the character or allowed it. Katia is on her victim’s blacklist on her TOS!!!

Then we have the original artwork of this character by the victim artist from 2017. Note the pose. Katia, in 2025, drew the character in the exact same pose…

After that, we have the screencap of KatiaSunna (now AsteraLady on deviantART) writing about her new “mysterious beauty” being created by “ANONYMOUS.” Also on her victim’s TOS, credit for the adopt design is compulsory. She knows good and well this character’s creator is the girl she has been stalking for 10+ years, and she didn’t credit the creator ON PURPOSE.

Next screencap is the deviation’s paywall. $500!!! OMG LOL Wanna see the traced/copied image she posted and is wanting $500 for you to look at? Say no more, that is the final image. Enjoy your $500 discounted view of her traced/copied image. Just remember, the original was posted in 2017 and KatiaSunna posted her copy in 2025… Also as a special note, Katia posted the paywall art publicly to her other social media sites like BlueSky and Vgen, so she’s literally just trying to scam deviantART users out of money. You can see it free anywhere else besides deviantART.

Additionally, KatiaSunna is a stalker: both online and in real life. She has stalked one person to the point that the victim had to send a cease and desist to KatiaSunna to try and get the stalking to stop. It still hasn’t stopped tho [as of this date, her stalking of this person has gone on for ten+ years]. In addition, her victim has made numerous pleas via social media posts and emails for KatiaSunna to leave her alone. KatiaSunna has also published journals claiming she is sorry and will stop stalking her victims, but she never stops.

KatiaSunna has even went so far as to try and get a job at her victim’s place of work – a business owned by her family… She also plans [and has as of this writing] to move to the same state as her victim and has pictures of her victim’s IRL face on her computer!

Despite being blocked on all accounts, KatiaSunna is still able to find out and join ArtFight right after her victim does.

The same goes for joining Bluesky! She even tries to follow an account made by one of her victim’s friends…

Again, despite being blocked on all known accounts, KatiaSunna finds out her victim started a Closed Species and then creates her own, copying her victim’s species rules word for word. Even failing to change some words from her victim’s species to her own…

At one point, KatiaSunna actually put up a poll about changing her name and one of the options was the REAL LIFE NAME of the girl she stalks!

Once again, despite being blocked on all platforms, KatiaSunna is still finding a way to fave characters and art of her victims…

To get attention, KatiaSunna will create accounts and pretend she’s other users and go so far as to have full blown conversations with herself.

Again, to gain attention for herself, when things don’t go her way, she threatens suicide.

She jokes about killing people by them having rabies.

She enjoys bullying people off of websites like deviantART.

KatiaSunna used a cancer patient [now survivor thankfully] to try and earn money. When she was called out on how horrible that is, she told the cancer patient, Dezi, that she hopes she will die.

Back to the stalking now tho… KatiaSunna’s victim, after years of harassment, divorced herself from all her social sites and started a completely new character and business: vtuber. Preemptively blocking KatiaSunna on ALL SOCIAL PLATFORMS, her victim proceeded to do her own thing and live her life. KatiaSunna tho, despite being blocked everywhere, found her again and proceeded to copy her. Now KatiaSunna is planning on being a vtuber, has gotten a model that looks similar to her victims, copied her victims reference sheet down to the very border her victim used, and is copying her victim’s vtuber of them of drinking water and loving butterflies… To top it off, she copies her victims art as well for her own use… [spoiler: she traced it]

KatiaSunna copies her victims requests to the letter. And magically, KatiaSunna posts about the exact same illness as her victim the day after her victim posts about being sick…

And despite being blocked everywhere, KatiaSunna manages to find and favorite her victim’s YouTube song/video, and also purchase merchandise from her!! She also copies her statuses…

• KatiaSunna is volatile – her temper flares fast.
• KatiaSunna is aggressive and will block evade to harass you.
• KatiaSunna will mobilize her friends and family to attack you.
• KatiaSunna acts like she owns the internet and every website (especially social media sites and apps), and she will try to use threats and her tantrums to bully you into her getting her way. If that doesn’t work, she will report anything she can (or her friends will come do it for her to try and get you kicked off of whatever site you are on).
• KatiaSunna will then play the victim, delete everything she did, and claim you are harassing her. Because of her patented bawwlete method (cry about it and delete it), it is really hard to get proof together as you have to take screenshots of the evidence immediately.

To date, ToyHouse and InkBlot have permanent IP bans on KatiaSunna due to her account creating to stalk and obvious ban-evasion when she is found out.
